Loudly singing skies of grey
Wind and rain come out to play
In my true love's arms I lay
On this very rainy day
As the rain falls from the sky
I sing my babe a lullaby

Eyelids flutter, breathing slows
To dreamland my baby goes
Outside on her windowpane
A curtain of grey rain flows
The earth drinks in the cleansing rain
The garden, meadow, forest grows
